Although I'm not a mother, I started following Briana and doing her Bikini Body Mommy Challenge workouts last year - shortly after coming back from university and starting my working life. Due to the job I chose to make my profession, my days were very long and I had a few hours of travelling. I was struggling with the new pressures of balancing career and home-life and became increasingly unhappy with the toll it was taking on my body.
When I first decided to start the Bikini Body Mommy Challenge and realized I had to workout 6 days per week, my initial reaction was: How am I going to do this?
The first week or two were hard. I have a massive sweet tooth and it seemed everywhere I looked there was sugar, chocolate, doughnuts, fresh bread - you name it, I could smell it. But soon after, it subsided and when I started seeing results on the scale, I didn't want to eat junk food anymore. So, 20 minutes turned from being a chore, to being my routine and I went from dreading working out to LOVING it! I'm even training for a triathlon next year - can you imagine that?
The workouts were simple but hard and every day I would work up a pretty impressive sweat and felt accomplished afterwards. It would get round to Sunday and I would be twiddling my thumbs waiting to workout even though I knew I had to give my body a rest.
I think one of the biggest helps was Briana's WEEKLY MEAL PLAN. She has every meal mapped out to eat every day and even the shopping list to head strait to the market! Even with my hectic schedule I found most of the meals were easy to make, and one of the biggest surprises was how affordable it was to follow! Everyone tends to think eating healthily is so much more expensive than boxed processed stuff, but it really isn't! Being strait out of Uni, finances have been tight! One of the best tricks I found was to get my fruit and veggies from the local market, as they do fresh produce at rock bottom prices... and meat from the butcher. And if you don't have the time, many places will even offer them to be delivered.
In total I lost about 16lbs over the course of the 90 Days. Not only did I feel amazing over the course of it, but as people began to notice it made me want to work harder. To do the BBM challenge along with Briana and see her results made me even more inspired to stick with it.
Briana and her program has helped me in ways I can't even explain. She gave me a whole new mentality about how look and feel in MY OWN BODY, how I view food, my nutrition, and working out. Without her, I don't think I would have had the will power to do it and I am thankful and grateful for her amazing help and for the outstanding support of the BIKINI BODY MOMMY COMMUNITY at whatever time of day!
