

Celebrating 2 Years, and 100 Pounds lost!
Over the course of the last two years, I documented every step of my health journey with the goal of inspiring others to realize how possible it is to completely transform your health from the inside out -- naturally, without dieting, medication, surgery, gimmicks, or quick fixes.
The "Work In Progress" series is inside of the BBM Health & Fitness app and documents my 24 month journey to losing 100 pounds, in real-time, via a vlog style month-to-month format!

Over the course of the last two years, I documented every step of my health journey with the goal of inspiring others to realize how possible it is to completely transform your health from the inside out -- naturally, without dieting, medication, surgery, gimmicks, or quick fixes.

The Roadmap: There were 5-essential pillars behind my transformation
Hormone Health: Learning, understanding, embracing, and optimizing (through trial and error) how my hormones were functioning.
I started here because the way our hormones function is the very foundation for the way our bodies operate day-to-day. They can support or challenge how we feel, the symptoms we experience, and the way we show up for ourselves.
Nutrition > Calories: I ditched dieting, counting calories, restricting food groups. I focusing on nourishing my body with an abundance of whole foods to fuel my hormones, improve my health and achieve my fitness goals.
Non-Exercise Movement > Exercise: I intentionally worked on incorporating more movement into my lifestyle and daily routine, and slowly increased it over time for long-term success.
Workouts // Strong > Skinny: I did NOT workout at all for the first 17 months of my journey, but starting in month 18, I began incorporating the RIGHT WORKOUTS with a "LESS IS MORE" motto.
This included embracing strength training with progressive overload > HIIT/AMRAP workouts to sculpt my body and boost my metabolism effectively.
Mastering My Mindset: I began by releasing any expectations that I'd achieve my results by a certain deadline. The guiding principle of my journey being sustainability, I committed to the fact that I would not implement any tactics or strategies that I could not sustain for the duration of my life.
In times of frustration or when I experienced set backs (there were many!) I repeated the following mantras:
Time is your friend, not your enemy: Slow progress is still progress. Remember, sustainable changes take time and patience. Believe in your journey and trust the process!
